1. What is the Silo-RoBoFox ® ?

Silo RoboFox is a mobile usable cleaning robot for feedstuff silos.

 

2. Why is the use of Silo-RoboFox necessary?

Since 1-1-2006 (European feedstuff hygiene ordinance) All farmers, who produce, store, transport or process feedstuff and feed animals for the food extraction have to pay attention to the feedstuff hygiene rules. Silo cleaning and desinfection are obligatory requirements which nobody else can escape. With the Silo-Robo-Fox a new technology is available on the market, this one food silo completely and thoroughly cleans and disinfects automatically. Through this endangering is prevented with biological and chemical hazardous materials like mushrooms, bacteria and mykotoxinen.

 

3. What does the advantage of a Silo cleaning with the silo RoboFox over conventional methods consist in?

The great advantage of the demonstrated method consists that a silo can be filled again within four hours after the beginning of cleaning. In comparison with other cleaning methods a very thorough result is achieved with this newly developed method. It depends on the respective pollution degree of the silo it is to carry out such a thorough cleaning in which rotation. It can in some cases be attached every year. The distance can amount at low sweating water formation and low dust share also several years if a regular dry cleaning takes place in between time.

 

4. How can I Silo-RoboFox® transport?

Silo-Ro-boFox® is installed in a trailer. All of the components of the system are arranged optimumly for handling in this trailer.

 

5. How does the Silo-RoboFox work?

The silo RoboFox as a mobile cleaning robot for feedstuff silos drives up and down at a vertical leadership bar made of aluminium, which is celebration stuck centrically in the silo. The elevation adjustment is carried out via a rope traction with gear motor. Additional engines at the drive unit provide the rotation and the robot drive around the axis of their own. The cleaning nozzles are fastened to a splashing lance. It can be adjusted to different silo diameters. Different standard cleaning programmes can be selected at a control unit. With the cleaning robot a full-coverage, intensive inside cleaning silo is reaches. This is made by a first one soft course with hot water and cleaning agent. The second operation contains the main cleaning start (till 170 bar with water high pressure; 2,500 l of water). The disinfection can be carried out with a  disinfectant in a third operation. The drying of the food silo forms the completion of the cleaning work with hot air.

6. Which silos can be cleaned with the Silo-RoBoFox ®?

Food silo corn or component containers which are or were not filled with materials which can explode. All vertically stationary round containers (silo) with a diameter of minimal1, 8 m and maximal 5 m and a total amount of no more than 9 m.

 

7. How is the vertical leadership built up inside the silo?

Preferably by a manhole (inspection hatch), is this is not available, an opening is cut into the funnel and then with a hatch locked. The vertical leadership consists of pluggable segments which are braced centrically in the silo.

 

 

8. How is theSilo-RoBoFox ® steered?

By an industrial control with visualization and "recipe administration". The recipes contain the different silo forms, like height, diameter, funnel angle etc. but also the different cleaning speeds etc.. These do not need to be every time adjusted by "hand" with that but all cleaning parameters only the corresponding silo type is selected and the control knows then.

 

 

9. How can I carry out the hand operation of the system?

By an industrial radio remote control all functions also can quite comfortably be used by hand in this directly at the silo. This is particularly advisable for the facilities/construction of the system and if a particularly obstinate place of the dirt must be reworked by hand once again.

 

10. What can be said for the service and the elimination of disturbance?

The system of control has a teleservice access via the GSM network (mobile radiocommunication). In the disturbance case a service engineer can dial in and already carry out a corresponding diagnosis from the distance. Then he arranges for all further measures for the anti-jamming like first partial delivery, service use on the spot etc., too.

Also new versions (updates) of the control software can be played in over the teleservice access.
